Where is the transmission range sensor located?

Sure, the transmission range sensor is by the gear shifter. here is the location in the diagrams below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Where would this sensor be located on a 2003 Mercedes SL500? Where would I find the part and part number?
