Troubleshooting p1489

My engine light is on and has been on for awhile. took it to auto to get a reading . Reading said code p1489. Can my mechanic fix this problem or do I have to take it to my dealer?

Hey CAROL,

This problem is for the high speed fan relay which means the relay is bad or the relay and the fan is bad, I would start with the relay first.

Here is where the relay is located, inside of the PDC
