Has a slight whirring noise when slowing down. Also trembled slightly in cold weather after starting but in a few minutes trembling goes away. just had catalytic converters replaced. Car acceleration is good on highway got up to 70 in about a minute no tremble. Could it be the few mixture?

Hi,

It could be related to a few different things. Things like worn ignition components, fuel pressure, a faulty oxygen sensor, or even a bad motor mount can cause a vibration.

Here is what I suggest. Because there are several things that can be the cause, I recommend having the can bus system scanned. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, several modules/computers are tied together using a few wires. By scanning the CAN system, it should identify any code from any of the different modules.

Here is a video showing how it's done:

Let me know if that is something you can have done. I especially recommend doing this if the check engine light is staying on when the engine is running.

If you retrieve codes, let me know what they are so I can better direct you.

Take care,
Joe

No engine sensor lights come on but will take it to Goodyear to have it done. This noise is not new car has had it for a few years. Have had new struts put on new tires new ignition switch with keys. They always do diagnostic and the car is 12 years old.
