Lost all forward gears, reverse still would work. So, I take the transmission out and have it rebuilt at a local shop. I get the transmission back and reinstall it. I have reverse but no forward gears still! Argh!

did you scan for codes first? may be the mode switch which tells it which gear to put it in. See picture.

I have a 2001 Honda passport that is slipping in 3rd gear or not engaging. The rest of the gears work fine. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Hello,

Do all the shift indicator lights work as you have a key on and going through the gears?

Please let me know,

Cheers, Ken

Yes they work fine. It engages in every gear except for third. I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong with it but I don't want to believe it because it's an expensive fix.lol I believe 3rd gear clutch pack is out. I don't see anything electrical causing it to not engage completely and let the clutches slip.

You must have a transmission input shaft sensor that is going out can you run the codes to see whats come up?
