Transmission will not engage

First the reverse went out like three months ago and then I went to the bank and when I came out and started the car I put in drive to leave and it would not move. It was locked in park it would not roll forward or backwards not even in neutral.

Hello,

This sounds like a shifter issue. Can you have someone look at the transmission gear selector to see if it moves with the gear selector inside the car? Also, see if the adjustment nut has come loose causing the problem. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
