I recently started having shifting issues with my van with jumping out of gear while driving and not wanting to go after stopping. It would rev up and jump back into gear or rev up several hundred rpms when trying to shift. It then went into limp mode. I had someone tell me that its most likely the trans solenoid. I guess a common issue on these vans especially with high miles. It also has a loud buzzing sound if you will. It sounds very similar to a power steering pump low on fluid. I ended up replacing the trans solenoid and the input and output shaft sensors based on the codes. I don't have them anymore. After replacing a these parts, on my initial test drive all seemed great. Drove about 20 min then stopped at a store but once I started out again, all the symptoms came right back. I ended up in limp mode again. Codes on that trip were; P0700, P0732, P0871, P734. I am at a loss. I mean, I guess I could have bad parts right out of the box. I went with the cheaper china parts because the van isn't worth much. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Chances are the new solenoid pack is defective, when it goes bad you get these codes. You said it as fine for while when bad to the failure which is caused by the solenoid pack. I would get another one, also make sure the filter and fluid is new as well.

P0700 - Transmission Control Module (TCM) requested MIL (just means “there is a transmission problem”)

P0732 - Gear Ratio Error in 2nd Gear

P0734 - Gear Ratio Error in 4th Gear

P0871 - Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch “C” Circuit Range/Performance

Please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on :)

Hi Ken, thanks for getting back to me. After your suggestion of new solenoid could be bad, I decided to call the manufacturer for warranty info and/or replacement. The tech said it sounds more like the trans pump. Here is a video of engine idling along with the sound it makes.

Yep, good call on the pump, but this can be the filter is clogged or the filter has come lose from the case and the pump is sucking in air. I would check that first. Thanks for the video it helps.

Yo no! is right, that transmission is done and needs a rebuild or another unit :/ Sorry, but it looks like you found the problem.
