transmission shifting 1-3 without moving?

When shifting to drive, the indicator shows rapid change from 1,2,3, but not moving and when it reaches 4 the transmission works but hard to get its power to move.

It sounds like the transmission range sensor is not working correctly but to be sure we need to do a CAN scan which is easy to do. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon for about $36.00.
