When stopping will not shift out of overdrive

Does the engine stall when you come to a stop? it should if it is stuck in overdrive.

The filter was change 80,000 miles.

Is that 80 ago? I see no mileage on the van listed here on the post.

Car got 128,000 on it i had filter out in around 80,000.

I would still start there and check the filter.

Is the check engine light on? if it is, do you know the codes?
