Transmission problem

Back gear not responding properly. After long press accelerator the back gear accepts for working and once it starts it behaves normally. Seeking your opinion regarding this issue.

Start with checking for trouble codes. It could be due to an erratic solenoid that is intermittently stuck causing this. Other possibility is a failing transmission due to pressure loss resulting in improper engagement. If no trouble codes are found, you can consider adding transmission seal restorer fluid. This is not guaranteed to work but is worth a try.
