turbo 350 transmission pan torque specs

Do you mean it is leaking where the bolts tighten the pan to the housing? Are you sure you didn't over tighten the pan and split the gasket? I attached a pic of the pan assembly. Let me know exactly where it is leaking.

Also, picture 2 is the torque specs for the pan. When I tighten them, I draw them all snug, then in a crisscross pattern work my way around the pan to final torque.

That’s not the right transmission. But yes I tightened them to 8 pounds when I did it.

Interesting. That is the one they show for this model. If it is still leaking where the bolts go through, I have one more question. Is the pan new that you installed or used? If it was used, did you peen the bolt holes flat?

I swapped the 4l60 for a turbo 350. And the pan and gasket was brand new. Almost $80.00 pan and gasket.

The only thing you can do is check to make sure you didn't split the gasket, check the transmission case to see if it is flat and there are no hairline cracks, and take a ball peen hammer and slightly peen the bolt holes on the pan away from where it mounts. Also, check to make sure the new pan is true.

I'm confident that isn't what you wanted to hear, but it has to come off again to determine the cause. You can try to save the fluid.

I bought a pan with a drain plug for these type of problems lol. So I’ll be saving all the fluid.

That was a good idea. Let me know what you find. Make sure when you reinstall the pan that both surfaces are clean and dry. I have to be honest, I'm curious what is causing it. If everything is new, it should be fine.
