What kind of spray adhesive do you use? like what brand? is it anything in particular or just basic spray adhesive?

I do not use spray adhesive on anything that over-spray might contaminate my fluids.
I use contact cement, brush it on both surfaces, let it dry, then stick them together.

Contact cement will definitely do the trick. Personally, I use the blue RTV silicone gasket maker. Applied in the correct amounts, there is nothing that beats it, in my opinion.
