transmission oil change

i just got a 2016 honda crv with a cvt transmission with 115km on it and i'm not sure if the transmission oil was ever changed so i wanted to change it myself to insure its long life but im not sure if i should because some people on saying that it could fail the transmission if its never been change with that kind of high km's on it

115,000km are on it and i was wondering what would you guy's do go ahead and change it to be on the safe side or leave it alone.

Hi,

The theory is if the fluid is extremely dirty and has a burnt smell, changing it could cause the transmission to slip. It's believed the dirt actually helps prevent clutches from slipping.

If this is a CVT, it doesn't have clutch plates in it.

So, here is what I suggest. If you haven't had the vehicle for long, check the condition of the fluid. If it doesn't appear too bad, service it. If you do, you must use the approved CVT fluid to replace the old. Don't put traditional transmission fluid in it.

I attached the directions below for checking the fluid. Do this first. Also, even if it is somewhat dirty, I would service it. I believe Honda calls for HCF-2 fluid for it.
