Start it up. Will start in first gear and shift to second then VDO light starts flashing about ten times then it goes into maybe fourth gear speedometer stops working.
I just put wheel bearing on it and this started immediately after ABS light is on and anti lock light is also on and check engine lights were on before replacement.

I forgot to add it will only go to maybe third gear after light stops flashing as i am driving i turn engine off and back on then it starts flashing again. but, then it goes into like fifth gear so i can drive it on the freeway. i never had this issue until I did my wheel bearings.

I would say you have either a broken/shorted wire in the ABS sensor wiring or the ABS module has a fault.

With those lights on a good scan tool should be able to read the codes and give you a clue what the problem is.
If the CEL is the light that is flashing you have a problem that needs to be repaired now. If you keep driving it that way you will do more damage.

Is there a sensor that needs to be tested to get it out of limp mode?

I just replaces tie rods and front wheel bearing now is there any sensors in the front end that need reset after i did this because immediately following work?
this transmission started this so i am positive something that I did caused this issue.

More than likely a bad wire connection or module. Get it scanned with a scan tool that can read ABS and transmission codes and it will at least show you a direction.

Mercedes loves to use a computer to control even a simple function which makes them very complicated to work on. Those and BMW are two that I hate to work on. You need a dealer level scan tool to check things that would be simple on other makes.
