So I was driving home from work, and I hit a patch of ice, and it flung me off the road into some muddy gravel. I noticed i lost a lot of transmission fluid when a tow truck came under the car. We had to replace the transmission solenoid cover which had a big chunk taken out of it. Check engine light on code read p0848. Cleaned sensor but didn't replace it. So, i drove it a day and a half. Then it started shifting poorly, so i pulled over and I lost a lot more fluid again, enough that I had to put a full quart in to get it up to the dipstick. But now I don't know where the leak is coming from. When this originally happened, i called the closest mechanic to where I was at. And it turned out to be not very good because I had to order all the parts myself and I paid over $600 for the guy to do nothing but make promises that he didn't keep and lied. That he ordered parts but didn't. He said he was going to take 2 hours he said he had ordered a Fender, lie. A sensor, which I believe he just claimed he didn't get a new one, and the solenoid gasket cover. I had to pay for all separately. but he kept my car for over a month. And didn't do anything until i gave him the part and it took him 20 minutes to slap it on. He didn't clean any of the mud off. It doesn't seem like, so I don't know if the gasket sealed, right. I know this is a whole other issue, but I'm just venting.
