Transmission fluid leak

My transmission is leaking. Assumed it was the spin on filter so I replaced it leaking more than before. Also, had two episodes of reverse slam. Seems to shift other gears fine but sometimes hesitates if using passing gear. Your thoughts?

Good morning,

The first thing I would do is to go to a car wash and clean the transmission off of all fluid. Then run the car to pinpoint the leak. It sounds like a possible cooler line leaking.

As far as the slam, it could be from the fluid being low. Otherwise, I would replace the fluid with new fluid.
