Have two codes P1701 and P0826 come up on a transmission company code checker and they diagnosed it as needing a new transmission. They say you cannot have one rebuilt because none are available for this year of car. No indicator dash lights, just seems like the car is stuck in a manual type mode but the car is an automatic with the manual type gear shifter being the last gear below drive. Car is very jerky and really not driveable. Based on the codes what else can be a possible culprit?
