Transmission code/limp mode

i get this transmission code when I'm driving sometimes and i took it to a mechanic where he said something about the 3-6 gears not switching and it does switch all the way up but when it hits fifth sometimes it’ll redline and go back to fifth then redline again and then put me in limp mode where i can only use first gear. been happening for about a week now. Please let me know if you can help out with this. - Johnny

Yep, it could be many things, we need to run the codes to see what comes back or we will be just guessing even through it does sound like the input shaft speed sensor is not working correctly. This guide can help you get the codes and I have included the sensor location in the diagrams below:
