transmission whines

Replaced transmission it whines when accelerating up and down and takes high rpm's to shift. had it scanned and all that came up was rear wheel speed sensor. can that affect transmission?

I had it put on a computer it says the rear wheel speed sensor is bad. does that affect the transmission?

Yes, it can effect the transmission as the data of the wheel speed sensors is run through the CAN. Here is the location and instructions on how to replace the sensor. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
