Transmission after it warms up a check engine light turns on and it will not shift out of first gear?

My vehicle listed above will start up and drive but after it warms up, I'll get a check engine light, and it won't shift out of first gear. then when I stop it won't go into reverse.

Also, when I shut it off and let it sit it will reset. Then I can drive it, and it shifts fine but keep repeating the same thing. Once it warms up boom it won't shift.

Hi,

When the light is on, have the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes. That is the best way to determine which direction to go.
