My son's truck is going high on the RPMs before it changes gears. After it is going it is fine.

After it shifts, all the rest of the shifts are good?
Does it always happen when starting from a stop?
How long since the oil/filter was changed in the transmission?
Are there any codes set or is the check engine light on?
