I have a 97 dodge avenger and here lately like the past month since its getting colder im having problems with my car kicking into drive. In the mornings when i go to work ill let my car warm up a little bit then when im about to leave i put my car in reverse so i can get passed the vehicle parked in front of me and when i stop to put it in drive it just revs up til it kicks into drive. Sometimes after i reverse it and pull off and stop it revs up so i hold on my brake til it kicks into drive which sometimes it take 2 to 3 minutes til it kicks into drive. But once it does my car is fine it only does it when its cold and when i first pull off and stop. It doesnt do it none when its warm or any during the day its only when its cold and in the morning when i leave. And it only does it at the first stop and when i stop at a redlight right up the road from the first time i stop it dont do it. It runs fine so could someone please help me figure out what it is? My fiance checked my transmission fluid all of that was good
