Loud whining noise coming from center front underneath of the car. Thought it might be a wheel bearing and took the wheel off and pushed on accelerator and car still made humming noise. It starts at around 20-25 mph and gets louder as you acclerate. What is it? Tried to check tranny fluid and there is no dipstick. Could it be something simple to fix. Too expensive to get a new transmission. Want to fix my car if it is inexpensive other wise I'll get rid of it.

I was also wondering what kind of manual transmission fluid would be compatible with my car as I can’t seem to find a correct answer online. Weight/brand. Thank you. I have a Valvoline MTF but can’t seem to find the code as it does say it’s recommended for most Chrysler and GM models.
