transmission will not engage into drive or reverse?

I'm stuck in the mud at the moment and when I engage 4-wheeldrive only back right rear engaged. took it out of 4-wheel and now my transmission won't engage into drive or reverse. what's going on?

It sounds like you broke an axle on the left side of the rear differential. I would jack the rear of the trick up and try spinning the rear wheels, it should be obvious.

They both are working now I finally got 4x4 to disengage thanks for the advice now how to get unstuck!!! My 4x4 won't fully engage only when the passenger rear wheel is turning.

Does this truck have Posi traction? Can you upload a short video as to the problem so I can see it? I have seen the front differential actuator get weak and cause the 4x4 to get stuck on or off. Here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below).
