Transmission not working properly, low fluid level?

It had no problems, when I pulled up to a light when light changed the car would not go forward or back. When I got home, I checked her fluid which barely registered input in fluid and was able to drive around field it still sometimes will not go in reverse.

Hi,

Is the transmission fluid clean and full? Have you rechecked it? Also, when you checked it, was the engine at operating temperature and off?

See the directions below and let me know if that is what you did. Additionally, let me know the color of the fluid at this point.
