I put my car up on car ramps to see where it was leaking from and I found a spot where I can see a gear and it looks like a snap on plate cove went there. I was wondering if there is one that goes there or if this is common on all Tiburons?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Honestly, there shouldn't be any exposed gears on this vehicle. Is it possible for you to upload a picture for me to see where and what exactly you found? Also, other than a leak, are there any other symptoms?

The only thing I can think of is the flywheel you are seeing. It is behind the bell housing. There is a front pump seal on the transmission that could be leaking. That would be between the engine and transmission and is would most likely be leaking from the bottom of the housing. I attached a pic of the bell housing and circled the seal I'm referring to and there is an arrow showing where it may be leaking from.

Let me know if this is the place or if possible, upload a picture for me to see.

Take care,

Joe
