From a stop it is hard to get car to move but if it does it is after about twenty RPM that is if it moves. Problems in reverse too.

It sounds like the transmission is low on fluid. Here is how you check the fluid level in your car. Here is a guide to help you see how to check it with diagrams below to help you on your car. If the fluid is okay drain and refill the transmission with new fluid.
