Replacing clutch where do I set the jacks stands

I am changing the clutch in my car. I have taking the drive shaft out and I would like to know after undoing the bolts to the transmission and the mount how do I what do I set the jack on the transmission to hold it up so I do not mess anything up?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If you are referring to how to hold the engine in place, a cross beam unit is used. Basically, it fits from one strut tower to the other. The engine is placed on it and maintained while work is being done.

As far as the transmission itself, there are specially designed transmission jacks which hold the transmission in place so it doesn't slip and fall. There are many different styles. I found one online for you to see.
