Transmission light comes on and the car loses power

I turn the car off and turn it back on sometimes I need to do it a few times before the light stays off and then I have full power again. What could be causing this?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned. Honestly, with today's cars, it becomes a guessing game if you don't have this information.

Now, this isn't a code that can be read by basic scanner. You will most likely need to have it checked at a shop. If you could do that, let me know the code you find so I can better guide you.
