Transfer case query?

The dealership is replacing my transfer case under warranty. However, they also recommend a transfer case service. Is there any reason for a transfer case service if they are replacing it?

Was it the transfer case or the transmission? At 60K a transmission service or axle fluid change wouldn't be a bad thing. Not sure on the transfer case though, unless the warranty is using a used part. Maybe ask them to clarify their reasons.
