I just put in new spark plugs everything was going great. Then stopped at a stop light and turned left then my "trac off" light came on. Pressed the ETS and it's still on. what should I do cause since the light came on it feels like my engine isn't getting enough power? please help!

Good morning,

Do you have a code reader that can read ABS codes? If not, go to a parts store and have them read it for you. This is a free service.

There is a malfunction in the ABS system that is causing the TRAC light to come on and need the code to narrow the area of failure.

Will they test it even if the ABS light isn't on? I called up there and they said they don't know what it could be cause no other lights are on except the TRAC OFF light.

They are parts salesman, not technicians.

Ask them to check for codes in the engine and the ABS system.

Thank you for all your help. I figured it out without using a code reader that the auto store told me they couldn't do. The spark plug boots weren't tight enough. so went and bought new ones and then disconnected the battery while I put the new ones on and the TRAC OFF light was gone. So thank you for your help.

What you did had no effect on the TRAC system.By removing the battery cable, the PCM forgot the code only. It will return when the failure sets again.

If your repair was correct, the light would go out on its own without erasing the code.

Sorry, the issue is still there.
