2005 Toyota Tundra Husband hooked up battery cables backwar

First of all thank you so much for your donation.Yeah it's not looking good so far.What model tundra do you have also do you have a double cab or a none double cab.

I have no idea what model the truck is - does "extended cab" sound right? I can look at the manual tonight and let you know what is shown on the manual. It is not a double cab.

I got it all figured out from what you just told me.I emailed you the locations of the fuse boxes and what the fuse's are for.So of the fuse's could have the sight window where you can see thru it to see if it's good or not.Your going to have to check every fuse you can pull them out and visually see if there good.Let's start there.

Thanks a million. Will let you know how it turns out and hopefully it is just the fuse that fried but I know full well it could be much more than that.

I could have hooked them up backwards but you would think a man would get it right.

Just make sure you check every fuse because who knows which one's got blown hopefully you just have to buy a handle full of fuse's.Let me know what you find.

There have been one or two more issues lately that did not go according to plan and I could see this snowballing straight to Hell if he tried to fix the truck. I am very, very happy to report that the final bill was just over $700.00 – now understand that $700.00 is a lot of money to me but I had visions of a couple of thousand at least. I just knew he had fried the entire electrical system so I felt we got off cheap with $700.00, especially since that amount included a new battery and that in itself had to be $150.00 or more (I would think). The first estimate was just over $400.00 but that was just the battery and one fuse and they knew something about the anti lock brake system was showing up as not being right. They found that problem and that bumped it up to the $700.00 figure. Our auto insurance paid for the tow from the house to the dealer so all Is well in my world now. I have in the back of my mind that there could be more damage that just hasn’t shown up yet but really don’t want to borrow trouble.
