NO. IF I WERE TO DO THAT THEN THE DOWNWARD STROKE WOULD BE WELL BELOW THE BOTTOM AND INTO THE COWELING. WHEN I TURN OFF, IT BOTTOMS AT THE RIGHT PLACE AND THEN RISES BACK TO THE MIDDLE. AS I SAID, WHEN RUNNING, THE STROKE IS PERFECT.

Electrical problem
2002 Toyota Tundra V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 132k miles

after I replaced the wiper linkage, the blades have perfect articulation but always stop in the center of the windshield. No matter where I turn if off.

Is this the relay or the motor?

What you need to do here is remove the wiper atms and reposition both the wiper arms on the stop position and then reinstall the arms and tighten nut properly-could also be the arms gear is rounded off/crossthreaded

Test the multifunction switch for continuity this way, one chart is for system with mist and one is for no mist.

If switch is good, replace motor.

I know that this is an old posting but here is your problem. The lever that connects the wiper transmission linkage to the motor needs to be rotated 180 degrees.

Let the wipers park in the middle of your windshielld, Then unhook the linkage at the motor and lower the wiper arms to the proper parked position and reinstall the linkage to the motor. Problem solved.
