evap family YTYXED145AFO 4.7 LITERS

Recently after truck sat for 4 days, engine lost power and wouldn't accelerate. When accelerate, the oil pressure climbed from medium to high with rpms. Had towed to garage who diagnosed PO36 CYLINDER 6 MISFIRE - REPLACED COIL PACK ENGINE SEEMS TO BE RUNNING OK. Not sure they corrected oil pressure spikes.

Currently, engine oil pressure fluctuates from medium at idle to 3/4 high when accelerate. Pressure gauge moves with rpms (moves from low to high 1/4 at idle to 3/4 at 3,000 rpms or higher).

Please advise. Thanks.

Best approach is to have oil pressure checked with mechanical gauge to verify you have good oil pressure.

If pressure is good on mechanical gauge, then the oil pressure sender or gauge itself is bad.

If oil pressure is low with mechanical gauge, then possible oil pump or clogged oil galley or oil pump pressure relief valve.
