Engine Cooling problem
1994 Toyota Tercel 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My Radiator fan is not coming on. I replace the fan relay which was a waste of money as it still didn't work. So I'm thinking that it is the Radiator Fan switch. With the key on I can unplug it and it runs I plug it back in and it stops. Does anyone know how to test the switch. It has only one wire and is located on the thermosat housing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks SkipperDan

I took out the themo fan switch which is located where you said and in doing so I found that it was stuck in switch was stuck closed which grounds it to the engine to stop the fan from running, so after applying some heat and a little bumping here and there it started working again. Probably should replace it but it's working fine at the moment and I can always just unplug it and the fan will run until I do replace it. Thanks Again! SkipperDan :-)
