I have a 1991 Toyota Tercel DX engine L4 , 41.5 liter engine Fl , milage 254538

The engine light came on and stays on ! When you start the car the engine revs up and down.When put in gear it stops but the engine light stays on. Please help because I am disabled and can't afford a dealer !

Start by checking out the idle air control valve- also pull the code/s and comeback
