why my car engine too fast to heat? within 3-5 mins the temp guage almost in half reading. theres any adjustments? parts to be replace?

i replace new thermostat in the engine. i observed after 5-15mins idle running hte temp guage is in half reading. and i have noticed in a long time engine is running in idle or in acceleration the temp guage is remain in constant reading. is this a good performance of the thermostat?..
How long thermostat last?

If you got the correct thermostat-try checking the engine temperature gauge sender
