1997 Toyota T-100 Brakes vibrating

check rear rotors and front, check the pads in front and back too.

next when putting the wheels on properly torque them with a torque wrench or torque limiting adapter for a impact wrench. over torque them and teh rotor will warp.

check the bearing for damage also and the caliper mounts for looseness.

thanks for the reply. I checked all these things. I have drums on the back. front rotors seem good and back pistons are working correctly. I put it on jacks, put in in 4 wheel and all brakes seem to start slowing at about the same time. any other ideas?

try driving then put on the parking brake. does it shimmy doing that? if so its with the rear brakes, if not the rear is good and u should pay attention to the front!

will try that when I put the wheels back on. I also noticed when i'm runnin it on jacks in 4 wheel, that the left side starts braking first. is it possible one side is not braking at same rate, so sides are not in equilibrium as brakes are applied and that causes the vibration? just throwing out ideas

problem occur only in 4 wheel? or 2 wheel also?

if one side is breaking faster then the vehicle would pull that way. not vibrate unless its the front brake.

not sure if it happens in 4 wheel or not, have not tried it. will try that as well as the parking brake idea. I never use 4 wheel. what about the rear not braking enough, so that the front is handling all the braking, would that cause the vibration?

all that might cause is the rear wheels spin on ice when braking. or when stopping fast teh vehicle might not stop straight it might pull left or right.

if the rotors and brakes are good there will be no vibration.
