Hi al570,

Do you still have issues with overheating and coolant losses?
How long have you run the engine after replacing the gasket?
Is the smoke completely white or is it gray in color?

Monitor the situation first. There could be condensation in the exhaust system and it would take some running to clear them out. It would also depend on the weather, hot weather would have the condensation out faster.

Replacing the head woulod also have some oil in the system and this would require some running to clear off.

Check if the coolant level in radiator is constant.
