I was gone for 6 months and my buddy started my car while I was gone and tried to move it right before I got back. The battery had gone dead so it needed a jump. After he jumped it he started having the same problem I'm now having. The battery's holding it's charge and the engine starts right up, however, none of the accessories are working. The power windows, radio, dashboard lights, and it won't shift out of park unless you override it. I checked all the fuses and they seem fine. I haven't asked him but I'm suspecting that the cables were connected incorrectly when he jumped it. Is this a likely reason? And if so, does this mean that some of the computers could be fried? Could this be an BCM issue or even more serious like ECM or TCM? Does the rav 4 even have these modules? I haven't seen a wiring diagram.

Anyway, most importantly, i'm not trying to blame my buddy, he was trying to do me a big favor, if that's even the problem. I just want to figure out what's wrong and if it's something I can fix myself or need to hand off to someone else.

There's also a good chance there's a simple solution and I'm just an idiot, so keep an open mind while thinking about this one.

Crossing the cables can cause a variety of problems, but certainly wouldn't assume it. A car the sets for six months can have weird things happen. Including rodent damage. You will need to get a good look at wiring and connectors as well as any corrosion at the fuse boxes. These are the diagrams for the circuits mentioned. The first one only shows the power source side.
