Engine Performance problem
2010 Toyota Prius 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Wold like to buy a Prius. I live in 6500 elevation with good inclines, the Sierra. With the 98 HP hybrid engine, will the Prius be able to perform adequately with the mountainous terrain? Would the honda civic hrbrid or Camry be a better option for mountain, 6500 feet, driving? Or would the Prius handle it? Thank you.

Hello, Appreciate the reply but was asking bout the prius performance on inclines and higher elevations. Thanks.

You'll be much better off with a Corolla or Camry. The Prius is way overpriced. Some folks buy them to save gas. The initial cost of the car is so high it will take you 10-15 years to make up the gas savings provided you don't have any expensive repairs.

Other folks buy them to make themselves feel good about saving the planet.
