It is in pretty good shape for it's age, but it has been stored for many years. It appears to intermittently misfire only when the following conditions are met: 1. it is hot from idling for long periods, stop and go driving, or driving in hilly terrain and 2. when pushed for acceleration. It has fresh oil, and I just put in fresh NGK platinum plugs, and recently ran Seafoam through the fuel system. Cap and rotor look clean, dry, and intact. No CK ENG light. Special note: the coil on the Previas is mounted against the firewall near the exhaust manifold. Can heat be affecting the coil, and how can I diagnose the coil for an intermittent problem?

did you replace the ignition wires? Also, I would recomend replacing the cap and rotor too.
