Engine problem

In the lase 2 years, i have been through 3 ignition control modules. The stock replacement ones are about $450.OO from the dealer, and about $150.00 for a used one from local truck wreckers. After frying 2 stock ones, i purchased an MSD 6A box, and Blaster SS coil. The MSD ignition control worked great for 2 months, when that unit fried. Each time that they go, there is no warning, the truck goes from running to not running with no sputtering or electrical problems, the spark just flat stops. What could possibly be causing my Ignition control to go out so quickly?
I don't think that any of this is pertinent, however, the engine has only 10,000 miles on it, it's a 22R, carburetted, the only thing other than the MSD 6A box and coil that is performance is a Thorley Header, smog legal (I live in CA ). Please help.
