I have the original cat. conv. on the truck in line with the muffler. I wanted to know if the original equip. was lined with platinum or any other precious metal. Platinum is going for over $2000 dollars an ounce. If it is lined with a precious metal I wanted to remove it so it doesn't get cut off and I have to replace it anyway. I could take it off recycle it and then replace it with one that doesn't have any precious metal and have money left in my pocket. So, can you tell me if the original has any "hidden" value?
