Could you please tell me what the timing mark looks like and where it is on an 1982 Toyota Pickup engine 22R? Thank You Very Much Jim

Thank you for your answer but I am asking for my husband and this is what he needs to know. He needs the cam shaft sprocket setting the engine up for top dead center, does he use the dimple on the gear or the alignment pin on the cam shaft?Thanks again

Its in front of the engine -you will see a pulley on the bottom front called crankshaft pulley the markings is at the pulley and the timing chain cover.

Also the ignition timing settings is right under the hood lable called VECI. I normally set this engine's 22R at 8degrees before top dead center.
