parking brake light stays on in am after handle is released

i have a 1998 toyota camery le that in the morning after parking brake handle is released,light stays on for a period of time then goes out!i have checked parking brake adjustment of cable and it seems to be ok!if i could get some help on this one i would appricate it!thank you jerry ledford e-mail me at [email protected] please!

Check to make sure the master cylinder is full of brake fluid. When the fluid falls below a certain level the same light is on. You might have a faulty float in the brake fluid reservoir. If fluid is low you might want to have your brakes inspected for wear. Check to see if the parking brake switch is hanging up. It will be placed somewhere near the pedal.
