Could be your battery is old and needs to be replaced (doing a load bearing test on battery works good after its fully charged - prob parts store or a mechanics shop can test it out for you)
Also check for corrosion and bad connections, sometimes those will make a vehicle not start. If there is alot of white chalky corrosion around terminals on battery clean it off with a wire brush, and some battery terminal cleaner (can be bought from most parts stores)
If it just clicks and doesnt start, it could be in the starter.
Usually it will start after try a few times, and happens to not catch in a certain area.
The alternater you can check by hooking up a electrical meter to and while running if your voltage drops it is most likely that.
Averagly good voltage is above 13 volts. When starting and then letting idle - it should be about 12 V and go up to about 13-15 volts.
