calipers sticking on left side of tacoma

I have a TACOMA 1998 and the left side caliper is sticking. At first it made a squeak while driving and would stop when we used the brake. It now has a grinding sound. When this happens do we need to replace both calipers? And do the rotars need to be replaced as well? Why both? Could I replace the rotars, and calipers myself (easy)? Thanks.

You may not need calipers. Have you had any "pull when braking issues"? Probably need pads and rotors, and service the calipers. You can do what ever you put your mind to! You have a resource to help you here as well to see you do that. You do that same to both sides to prevent a braking issue such as a pull. Since they have the same miles on them (see note:)

They work together and weaken together. You make one side better and it will work better, causing a pull. :D
