The charge air bypass valve, on my 1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo, seems to be opening and closing at the wrong times. It usually gets worse if going around a curve uphill. Disabling the valve smooths it out, but I'm afraid of wearing out the turbo that way. Could it be anything other than a bad air bypass valve? Mileage is 163,000.
