Landcruiser 4x4 how to remove front brake rotor

I have a 2004 Landcruiser 4.7Liter V8 with 56K miles. I'm getting pedal pulsations when brakes are applied. It can also be felt in the steering wheel. The front brake pads are not quite worn out, but I'm replacing with new. I want to machine the rotors to re-true and eliminate pulsations. I have removed calipers, and the six nuts on rotor (black area near the lug nuts). Also removed axel dust cap, and removed a keeper clip. I can push in on the spline drive axel, and it moves inward, but the rotor itself doesn't loosen. What is the procedure to remove the rotor? It looks like the black section with the six nuts needs to come off, but tapping with a hammer and screwdriver doesn't budge it. Is there a special puller required?

G'Day there,

If you look at the base of the drive hub studs you will see that there are collets that need to be removed, re fit the nuts loosley and strike the side of the drive hub with a copper hammer, this will release the collets (the nuts will stop them from flying off into the never never) they are tapered so they will be tight, when they are loose remove the drive hub, then you will see the bearing lock nuts. wipe down so that you can see the lock tab, bend tab up and remove the lock nun, remove tab and remove inner nut & spacer, rotor & hub will now come off. Remenber to always use a new lock tab, & dont bugger the nuts wuth a cold chisle, use a sutable socket, most 4X4 stores will have cheap Toyota front hub nut tube sockets.
