I have a 93 Landcruiser wagon. I cannot get the key passed the on position to start engine.
It is very difficult to put key in and turn past acc position.

Is it possible to get these ignition barrels repaired by a locksmith. Do I have to get a new ignition barrel fitted?

What is the cheapest option available to me if I have a choice?
:(

thanks 4 your time

The cheapest option is to remove your old cylinder lock and have it repaired at a locksmith. Make sure he gives you a new set of key. By the way, did you try a different key. Usually the key is worn and doesn't have the ability to push the pins in the lock allowing you to start the car.

Get an ignition switch with a key to go with it or cut-repairing it might not do you any good in the long run
